It seems that Apple was working hard to give its competitor’s a hit by this major release. Recently, they have launched Safari browser 4 (beta) for both Windows and Mac(ofcourse!) The design and interface of browser is overhauled and polished to look beautiful.

Besides it’s look many more useful features have been embedded in this version. I will write more about it when I actually experience it by the time I am leaving you with this list of features:

• Nitro, a new Javascript engine that said to be 4 times faster than Safari 3.
• Top Sites, new home page with the most visited sites, like Opera or Chrome. Perhaps, more spectacular, as we see in the screenshot.
• Coverflow integrated view favorites and browsing history.
• Tabs on top, something to nail Chrome: tabs are now above all, integrated with the window.
• Smart Address Field, which like Firefox 3’s Awesome Bar suggests Web addresses from your history and bookmarks when you start typing.
• Zoom full style, which not only expands the text but all the elements.
• New development tools, which are complemented with the latest standards (HTML5, CSS3, Acid3 100 %…).

Comparison

• Apple claims that the web browser can execute javascript 30 times faster than IE7 and 3 times faster than Firefox 3.
• The browser can also load HTML pages 3 times faster than IE7 and 3 times faster than Firefox 3.
• Safari also comes with HTML 5 and CSS 3 web standards for the next generation of interactive web sites.
